Candied Bacon Twists

You can opt out of the cayenne pepper but it adds a nice sting with the sweetness of the brown sugar, elevating your breakfast bacon.

ingredients

  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon

  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoons cayenne pepper

  • Cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a large baking tray with foil and parchment paper.

  • Twist each slice of bacon as tightly as possible and arrange them next to each other on the prepared tray.

  • Sprinkle the brown sugar, cayenne pepper and cracked black pepper on top.

  • Bake for 20 minutes, then flip the bacon and bake for another 10-20 minutes or until crispy.
